Splitting an expense
Amounts are kept in whole cents, so a split always adds back up to the expense exactly.
Evenly divides the amount by the people ticked. A cent that won't divide goes to whoever paid, then to the others in the group's order. Shares and Percent divide in proportion, and any leftover cents go to the largest fractions. Percentages must add up to 100. Exact amounts must add up to the total.
Whoever paid doesn't have to be in the split: untick yourself if it was all theirs.
Several people can pay for one expense: pick Several people under Paid by and enter what each put in. Those amounts must add up to the total. Each payer's balance goes up by what they put in, and the split works the same as with one payer.
$10.00 split evenly between three, paid by you:
- You $3.34
- Aly $3.33
- Jacob $3.33
