Terms
The short version: it's free for now, it records rather than pays, and we do our best.
Who runs Halvies
Halvies is run by Jay McCormack in Brisbane. For help, or anything on this page, email [email protected].
It's free for now
Halvies costs nothing at the moment. If that changes, you'll be told well before, and nothing will be charged unless you agree to it.
What it does and doesn't do
Halvies records what people add and works out who owes whom. It doesn't move money: paying each other happens outside Halvies, in your bank or however you choose.
We do our best to keep it running and the figures right, but it is provided as it is. Check an amount before you pay it. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from using Halvies. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Using it fairly
You're responsible for what you add. Only add people you actually share costs with, and don't use Halvies to harass anyone. Keep your email account secure, because it is how you sign in.
An account used to misuse Halvies can be suspended. You can stop using it whenever you like.
Changes
If these terms or the privacy statement change, the page and its date are updated.
